Man Stabbed Victim Dead During Argument In Baltimore: Police

A Baltimore man has been charged in connection to a fatal stabbing inside of an apartment, authorities say.

Jeffrey Chaney, 56, is accused of stabbing Peter Riley, 50, inside of the residence in the 600 block of West Lexington Street around 6 p.m., Thursday, July 28, according to Baltimore police.

Officials pronounced Riley dead at the scene. Detectives believe that the stabbing happened during an argument.

Chaney, as well as the weapon used, was taken into custody at the scene.

Chaney has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and dangerous weapon charges.
